9.21.20 UAOSU officer elections coming soon!
We wanted to welcome everyone back for the fall term, and let you know that our first elections for union officers will be held in November/December. Nominations for office will open on October 5th for all elected positions set forward in our constitution and bylaws.
You’ll be receiving detailed information about our election process shortly, but before nominations open, we wanted to be sure that everyone has the opportunity to learn about the different roles in our union, and decide for yourself how you’d like to participate. One important thing to remember is that in order to nominate someone for office, run for office, and vote in the election, you must first be a member of our union. If you haven’t joined, or you’re not sure whether you’re a member, you can sign up here.
If you’re already a member but recently have moved or otherwise changed your contact information, please send updated contact info to email@example.com. Ballots will be sent via US mail so we want to make sure we have the correct mailing address for every member to ensure you receive your ballot.
We are holding two Zoom information sessions where you can learn about the offices up for election, how to nominate or run for those positions, and the election process and timeline. Here are the dates and times:
