Odd Friday Happy Hours – (April 17, May 1, May 15, May 29) at Common Fields, 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm

Spring Term General Membership Meeting – Wednesday, April 29 5:30 pm – 7 pm, MU Journey Room

Union Movies with IWW – Sundays May 3 and May 10

 

Your union is proud to co-sponsor screenings of new restorations of Barbara Koepple’s Harlan County USA on May 3 and American Dream on May 10 with the Willamette Valley IWW. Screenings will be at the Darkside Cinema starting at 6 pm. Union members can attend for free, and tickets are $10 for non-union members.

 

Social Justice Committee Whistle Brigade

 

UAOSU’s Social Justice Committee invites campus community members to pick up their free ICE watch whistle kit in Kidder 210 on the following dates:

  • 4/16 (11am-noon)
  • 4/20 (10-11am)
  • 4/24 (11am-noon)
  • 4/30 (10-11am)
  • 5/1 (11am-noon)

There will be quick training when you pick your kit.

 

The Social Justice Committee is also hosting an ICE Watch training organized in collaboration with the Reynolds Law Firm on Monday May 4, 5:30pm-7:30pm at the MU. All UAOSU members and our campus allies are invited to join but please RSVP at uaosu.org/icewatch. Refreshments will be served, starting at 5 pm. Once you’ve completed the training, you can contact socialjustice@uaosu.org to join the Whistle Brigade Signal group.
